Creating a Basewallet crypto wallet is quick and free. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play, tap "Create New Wallet", and your private keys will be generated securely on your device. Write down your 12-word recovery phrase and store it safely — this is the only way to recover your wallet if you lose access.
Your recovery phrase (also called a seed phrase) is a set of 12 or 24 words that gives access to your crypto wallet. It is extremely important because:

To restore your wallet: Download the Basewallet app → tap "Import Existing Wallet" → enter your 12-word recovery phrase in the correct order → set a new PIN. Your entire wallet and all assets will be restored. Never enter your recovery phrase on any website or share it with anyone.
Yes! Basewallet supports multiple wallets within a single app. Go to Settings → Wallets → Add Wallet to create additional wallets. Each wallet has its own address and can hold different crypto assets. This is useful for separating personal and trading portfolios.
You can update most of your profile information in the app under Settings → Profile. For changes to identity documents or KYC information, you'll need to contact our support team with the updated documents for re-verification.
To delete your account, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, or contact our support team at support@basewallet.app. Important: deleting your account does not delete your crypto wallet — your assets remain accessible via your recovery phrase on any compatible wallet app.
Crypto transfer times depend on the blockchain network:
During periods of high network congestion, transactions may take longer. Using a higher gas fee speeds up confirmation.
Basewallet supports 100+ cryptocurrencies including BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, MATIC, AVAX, ADA, DOT, USDT, USDC, XRP, and many more. We support all ERC-20, BEP-20, and SPL tokens. The full list is available in the app. We regularly add new assets based on user demand.
Sending limits vary based on your account verification level:
To increase your limits, complete the full KYC verification in Settings → Verification.
Always triple-check the recipient wallet address before confirming. Blockchain transactions are irreversible — once sent, crypto cannot be recovered by us or anyone. If you sent to the wrong address, contact our support team immediately, but please note that crypto transactions on the blockchain cannot be reversed. This is why Basewallet shows a large preview of the address before confirming.
Once a transaction is broadcast to the blockchain, it cannot be cancelled. For Ethereum transactions that are still pending in the mempool, advanced users can attempt to override them using a higher gas fee and the same nonce. Contact our support team if you need guidance on this process.
Buying crypto on Basewallet is simple: Open the app → tap "Buy" → select the cryptocurrency → enter the amount in your local currency → choose your payment method (card or bank transfer) → review the quote and fees → confirm the purchase. Your crypto will appear in your wallet immediately after the payment is processed.
To swap crypto: Open the app → tap "Swap" → select the token you want to swap from and the token you want to receive → enter the amount → review the exchange rate and network fee → confirm. Swaps are executed instantly at the best available rate across decentralized exchanges.
Basewallet aggregates prices from multiple DEX liquidity pools and centralized price feeds to give you the best available rate. Prices update in real-time and are displayed before you confirm any transaction. A small spread may apply on buy/sell orders to cover liquidity costs.
Purchases can fail due to payment issues, insufficient gas fees, or network congestion. Check your payment method has sufficient funds and try again. If you were charged but did not receive crypto, contact our support team immediately with your transaction ID. We'll investigate and resolve within 24 hours.

To enable 2FA: Go to Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication → Toggle ON. Choose your preferred method: SMS OTP or Authenticator App. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup. We strongly recommend enabling 2FA on your account for additional security.

You can add crypto to your Basewallet in three ways: (1) Buy directly with a debit/credit card or bank transfer, (2) Receive from another wallet — tap "Receive" and share your wallet address or QR code, (3) Transfer from an exchange like Binance or Coinbase. Minimum amounts may apply for card purchases.
To convert crypto to fiat: Go to Wallet → Sell → Select the crypto → Enter the amount → Choose your preferred payout method (bank account) → Confirm. The fiat equivalent will be sent to your linked bank account. Processing time is typically 1–3 business days depending on your bank.
Note that blockchain transactions are irreversible. However, if you were incorrectly charged a service fee (not a gas fee), contact our support team within 30 days with your transaction ID. We'll investigate and, if the charge was erroneous, process a credit to your wallet within 5-7 business days. Reach us at support@basewallet.app.
Staking lets you earn passive rewards by locking your crypto to support a blockchain network. In Basewallet: Go to Explore → Staking → select your asset (e.g., ETH, SOL, MATIC) → enter the amount → confirm. Rewards are automatically distributed to your wallet and compound over time. You can unstake at any time, though some assets have a cooldown period.
Basewallet supports 10+ major blockchains including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Tron, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Base. We are continuously adding new chains. Check the app for the most current list. All ERC-20, BEP-20, SPL, and TRC-20 tokens are supported on their respective networks.
Share your unique referral code with friends. When they sign up and make their first crypto purchase, both of you receive a bonus credited to your wallets. There's no limit on referrals. Find your referral code in Settings → Refer a Friend. Terms and minimum transaction amounts apply.
Access DeFi through Basewallet's built-in Web3 browser: Go to Explore → DeFi Browser → connect your wallet to supported protocols like Uniswap, Aave, Compound, and more. Your wallet connects securely via WalletConnect and you approve each transaction directly in the app. Always verify the protocol's URL before connecting.
